Balsall Common Lions supporting Young Carers

Young carers are children and young people aged between 5 and 25 years whose lives are affected by caring for a family member or friend.

They care for somebody at home with any of the following :

• Physical disability

• Mental Health needs

• Long term / terminal illness

• And many more

This can have a dramatic effect on a Young Carer’s life :

• They sacrifice time with friends and to socialise

• Impact on education

• Emotional well-being

• Physical Health

In the run-up to Christmas Balsall Common Lions will be supporting Solihull Young Carers, by organising a Gift Collection Point. The Gift Collection Point will be open in Balsall Common Library from Monday 28th October, and last collection will be Friday 13th December.

Please support this cause, if you are able, by dropping off a (new) Christmas gift.

We respectfully request that you donate new gifts, and remember that these young carers may be any age between five and twenty-five years old.

Thank you
