Earlier in the year, Balsall Common Lions donated £5,000 to Baby Lifeline to provide five out-of-hospital birth bags for Ukraine. The original consignment arrived in Ukraine within less than a week of the donation. However, the need has not gone away. In fact, it’s increasing with approximately 1,000 babies being born in Ukraine - every day!
Balsall Common Lions are in regular contact with Baby Lifeline, and have recently responded with an additional donation to purchase a further two out-of-hospital birth bags.
Pictured here are images of the bags arriving in Zaporizhzhia which is being heavily hit and also the place where many of the original Mariupol evacuees were placed.
