We are proud to be supporting three local food bank charities for our door-to-door food bank appeal this weekend.
Carriers of Hope We are supporting the St. John Baptist Berkswell food bank appeal by donating to Carriers of Hope in Coventry. Carriers of Hope is a Coventry based charity that supports some of the most destitute people in our community.
Emergency Foodbank at Bethany Community Outreach Project The Bethany Foodbank appeal came from Lesley Murtagh of Murtagh & Co Accountants in Balsall Common. Lesley Murtagh is co-ordinating the collection on behalf of St. George & St. Teresa School and the Blessed Robert Grissold Church. As its name implies it is for emergency access. Referrals are made by Social Services, Police, Local Refuges and similar services. http://www.bethanycommunityoutreach.co.uk/
FareShare Finally, a massive thanks to Ashley Norton at the Co-op in Balsall Common for their support, and for allowing us to collect in their car park in between rounds. Co-op is supporting FareShare during the Coronavirus crisis by donating food worth £1.5 million to feed those at risk of hunger. https://fareshare.org.uk/co-op/
