Every Cloud has a Silver Lining!!
In a perfect world, yesterday we would have been on the streets of our village, shaking tins for the Marie Curie Great Daffodil Appeal. Sadly, with the current challenges of social distancing that wasn’t possible.
In addition, we also had to cancel two of our Charity Fund Raising Events – VIVO on 14th March and the Fun and Flowers charity event on 23rd March, so we had to offer our customers a refund.
A huge number of our customers offered to donate their ticket money to charity, so we are extremely pleased to report that donations totalled nearly £1,200 for Vivo, plus over £200 from the monies returned from the cancelled Fun & Flowers event.
As a result, a total of £1,410 is on it’s way to Marie Curie.
